The partnership led to the deployment of something truly unique in the market: a fully integrated solution that unifies restaurant management and payments into a single, seamless system

Identifying that restaurants across Mexico and Latin America often struggle with fragmented restaurant management and payment systems, Soft Restaurant, the region’s leading restaurant provider, saw an opportunity to develop a payment solution that empowers businesses to overcome this challenge. This led to the creation of Soft Restaurant Payments.

After developing the solution, Soft Restaurant needed to find a payments company that could effectively integrate it – enter Getnet.

Getnet was chosen due to being an established global payment solutions company with 21 years in the payments industry. Getnet processed €222 billion in total volume across 35 countries in 2024 and served 1.3 million active merchants.

Combined with Soft Restaurant’s 25 years of experience, the partnership led to the deployment of something truly unique in the market: a fully integrated solution that unifies restaurant management and payments into a single, seamless system to give thousands of restaurants the operational flexibility they need

The challenge facing the restaurant industry

Throughout Latin America, many restaurants face the same problem: disconnected payment and ordering systems that create inefficiencies, increase wait times, and complicate financial reconciliation. Traditional solutions require manual processes, separate terminals, and time-consuming reconciliation procedures that slow service and frustrate both staff and customers.

Soft Restaurant and Getnet understood that an effective solution would require more than just technology – it needed deep understanding of restaurant workflows, payment security requirements, and diverse operational models to suit both quick-service and full-service establishments.

"At Soft Restaurant we believe that technology is an essential ally for restauranteurs to manage their businesses efficiently. Our priority when developing a solution wasn’t just about ensuring it processes transactions, but that it also integrates with our existing restaurant management software”

A solution that meets restaurant’s payment needs

Soft Restaurant Payments is an integrated solution that leverages Getnet's payment terminals within Soft Restaurant’s management ecosystem. The solution has two distinct implementation models, which address different operational needs:

· Dining room service: This terminal is distinguished by its combined functionality. It’s a portable device that combines order management and payment processing in a singular unit. This mobile solution allows staff to take orders, process payments, and print receipts wherever is required in the restaurant, eliminating unnecessary trips and speeding up table turnover.

· Fast service: Designed to operate at a fixed point, this terminal combines payment processing functions with full integration into the checkout station. Its static approach optimises fast-service environments where speed and efficiency are paramount
